Straight answers from our engineers
The questions we get asked most often
Twenty years of making sheet-metal and thermal components means we have heard almost every question there is. Below are the twelve that come up most — and if yours is not here, just ask us directly.
General
Are you a factory or a trading company?
We are a factory. Our own 12,000 m² plant sits in Dongguan, Guangdong, and every process — stamping, laser cutting, CNC machining, welding and surface treatment — is done in-house. That gives us full control over lead time, quality and cost, with no middleman passing your job on to a third party.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ depends on part complexity and material. As a general guide: 1,000 pcs for stamped parts, 100 pcs for CNC-machined parts, and no minimum at all for laser cutting — we will take a single piece. If your project is smaller, talk to us; in many cases we can find a more flexible way to work together.
Do you provide samples, and how is the sample charge calculated?
Yes. We can complete prototyping within 7 working days. Sample charges reflect the actual process and material cost, typically RMB 200–2,000. Once a production order is placed, the sample charge is credited in full against that order. If it helps, we can also supply a free 3D-printed prototype for early structural validation.
Materials
Which materials can you work with?
All mainstream metals, including:
- Carbon steel / stainless steel (201 / 304 / 316 / 430 and more)
- Aluminium alloys (5052 / 6061 / 7075 and more)
- Cold-rolled / hot-rolled / galvanised / aluzinc sheet
- Copper / brass / beryllium copper
- Titanium alloys (on request)
Thickness range is 0.1–25 mm. If you need a special material, contact us and we will confirm whether the process is viable.
What is the largest size you can produce?
Laser cutting handles up to 6000 × 2000 mm; CNC machining has a working envelope of 1200 × 800 × 600 mm; bending goes up to 6000 mm in length. Larger parts can be produced in sections and then welded or joined — send us the drawing and we will assess it.
What tolerances can you hold?
Standard stamping tolerance is ±0.05 mm, precision stamping ±0.02 mm. CNC machining is typically ±0.03 mm and can reach ±0.01 mm. Laser cutting is ±0.10 mm. If your drawing calls for something tighter, tell us in advance — we will review the process and confirm whether we can hold it consistently.
Production
How long do prototypes take? And production?
Prototypes: 5–7 working days for standard parts, 7–15 for complex ones. Production: 15–25 working days for standard orders, 30–45 for complex structural parts. Actual lead time depends on part complexity, order quantity and material sourcing — once the order is confirmed we commit to a firm date.
Can you expedite an order? How fast?
Yes. We run an expedited service that can turn prototypes around in as little as 3–5 working days. Expedited orders carry a 30–50% rush fee and require you to confirm drawings, payment terms and material specifications up front. If your schedule is really tight, call us and we will see what we can do.
What payment methods do you accept?
T/T bank transfer, Letter of Credit (L/C), Western Union and PayPal. The usual schedule is 30% deposit with the order and the remaining 70% before shipment; long-term customers can apply for more flexible terms. The quotation always states the payment method explicitly.
Quality
Which quality certifications do you hold?
We are an ISO 9001:2015 certified factory, and every product is 100% inspected before it leaves. We can supply PPAP, APQP, FMEA and control-plan documentation for automotive customers on request. If you need a specific certification (RoHS, REACH, CE, UL), let us know when the order is confirmed.
What inspections are carried out before shipment?
Standard checks cover visual inspection, critical dimension measurement (calliper / micrometer / height gauge), material composition by spectrometer, surface roughness, plus salt-spray and hardness testing where required. Inspection reports and first-article samples (FAIR) ship with the goods. Third-party inspection (SGS / BV / TÜV) can be arranged.
What if I find a quality problem after delivery?
Send us photos and details right away; we will come back with a solution within 24 hours. Our after-sales commitment:
- Free remake or rework once a quality issue is confirmed
- We cover freight on transit damage
- 8D report and corrective actions provided
- Dedicated complaint channel for long-term customers
