New 800-Ton Press Line Doubles Our Stamping Capacity
A second high-speed press line went into production this month, adding 800 tons of capacity and cutting the queue for progressive-die work from five weeks to two.
What we installed
The new line pairs an 800-ton servo press with an in-die tapping station and an automatic transfer arm. It sits next to the existing 400-ton line in Bay 2, so tooling can be moved between the two without leaving the plant.
Servo drive matters more than tonnage here. The slide profile is programmable, which means deep-drawn parts can be formed slower at the bottom of the stroke and returned fast — less springback, fewer cracks on stainless grades.
- 800-ton servo press with 1,200 mm bed
- In-die tapping up to M8, no second operation
- Automatic transfer for parts up to 400 mm long
- Inline vision check on every 10th stroke
What it changes for you
Progressive-die programmes that used to wait five weeks for a press slot now start in about two. For existing programmes it means we can hold safety stock for you without pushing other customers back.
We sized the line around the enquiries we kept turning away last year — medium-volume stampings between 50k and 400k pieces a year.

If you have a part quoted before and put on hold because of lead time, it is worth asking again. Send the same drawing and we will re-run the numbers against the new schedule.
When it is available
The line is running production parts now. Tooling slots for new programmes open from October, and we are booking first-article samples from mid-September.
